This expanded hands-on workshop will be held on 2 consecutive days. Students will cut their own dalle pieces using a tile saw and also experience the traditional cutting method using a hammer, anvil and glass cutter. Techniques including faceting, creating reusable molds, incorporating inclusions, using colored epoxy & sands, vertical formats, and domino effects will all be incorporated in the making of the class projects. Design elements regarding negative space, cutouts and color will be discussed in depth.

Each student will have the opportunity to design and fabricate 2 projects: a traditional project using an 18" x 18" work surface and a contemporary 8" x 10" framed piece.
